An Open Letter to All:

Stacie, Nathan, and I just wanted to say, to all those who have posted so many prayers and words of kindness, that your love and support is felt and so appreciated. Many of you have said "there are no words" and you are right. I have no words either.

Our life, right now, is a cycle of seemingly normal periods interrupted by moments of overwhelming grief. I can easily see how some people have been grief stricken to the point of even taking their own lives in such a situation.

But, we have a hope that passes all understanding. Even in the valley God is good. He is faithful and true. He is the only one who could possibly love my daughter more than me. At 6 weeks old, we dedicated her to Him. She lived her life for Him. He didn't let her down. I'll probably always question in my mind why he allowed this to happen in this manner. It seems so unnecessary to my human mind. But she lived for Him and I believe she died in his presence. I believe her story will touch and change lives. The first life to be changed is going to be her daddy's.

If this incident has caused you to consider your own life, your own mortality, perhaps even the path you are on, please don't let it go to waste.

If God is talking to you during this, please listen.
